These stunning art-as-furniture pieces can serve as coffee or side tables, stools, or pedestals, all the while delighting the senses with their graceful, dynamic, sexy curves, and smooth, silky feel. One stands alone beautifully. Two, side by side, give shape to the space between.

The form was inspired by architect Ma Yansong’s brilliant Absolute World twin tower condos in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Popularly known as the Marilyn Monroe towers for obvious reasons, they opened in 2012 to great public and critical acclaim.

These versatile, original works are meticulously handcrafted, and available now in three types of wood: spruce, a softwood, is the lightest of the three. poplar, a middleweight hardwood, has many knots and colourful mineral streaks. Baltic birch, with relatively few knots, is the hardest and heaviest. Tops, all hardwoods, are red oak, Baltic birch, and maple. All pieces are given a rich, lustrous, hand-rubbed hardwax oil finish. All are 15 inches wide by 17 high (cm 38 x 43). Stock is limited. Contact me regarding larger orders, and custom materials and sizes.
